Francis Ogbonnaya is supervisor of two WIT winners, joined the Grain Research and Development Corporation in Canberra, Australia, in 2012, and remains there in his current role as manager of oilseeds and pulses. Francis used his WIT Mentor Award to create a fund to provide on-going scholarships for orphaned undergraduates to complete their studies. The scholarship continues to this day, and this year he is supporting two women who are pursuing their secondary education.
