Silvia Barcellos Rosa, a native of Brazil, earned her PhD on leaf rust resistance at the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, and developed her research at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, Cereal Research Centre. Silvia currently works as a spring wheat breeder at CÉROM, Centre de Researche sur les Grains, in Québec, Canada.
