Priyanka Gupta, from India, is a postdoctoral researcher at Université Laval and the Centre de Recherche sur les grains (CÉROM), Quebec, Canada. Her research focuses on developing climate-resilient wheat cultivars by integrating field phenotyping, genotyping, and genetic resource evaluation. She manages multi-location trials across the Americas, assessing the International Spring Wheat Collection (ISWC) to identify cultivars with broad adaptability to diverse environments. She specializes in crop breeding with expertise in abiotic stress tolerance and genomic studies especially on wheat and legumes. Priyanka has received numerous accolades, including the Mitacs Accelerate Fellowship, the Monsanto (Bayer) Beachell-Borlaug International Scholarship, and the Bioversity Vavilov-Frankel Fellowship. As the youngest board member of the Borlaug Training Foundation, she advocates for future agricultural leaders. She also organizes scientific webinars at Bioingene, promoting knowledge exchange among recent graduates, researchers, and industry professionals.
