Laura Mathieu, from France, a postdoctoral researcher at the French National Institute for Agriculture, Food and Environment (INRAE), based at the Plant Health Institute of Montpellier (PHIM). She holds a B.Sc. in Life Sciences from the University of Lorraine and a M.Sc. in Plant Sciences from the University of Paris-Saclay. She completed her Ph.D. at the Institut Agro Montpellier. Her research interests include ecophysiology, quantitative genetics, multi-omics, plant-microbe interactions and crop mixtures. She is particularly interested in how biodiversity influences agroecosystem services, with a focus on understanding how interactions between plants modulate disease susceptibility within intraspecific wheat mixtures. Her work explores the genetic basis of these interactions, examines how wheat plants respond to their neighbors, and investigates the belowground signaling processes that mediate these responses.
